SUSTAINABILITY
The fashion industry is the second most polluting industry in the world. Traditional production of 1kg cotton requires up to 20.000 liters of water, releases toxic waste during the coloring of the fabric and its transport is causing severe carbon emission.
The lion's share of streetwear is still made in Asia under extremely poor working conditions. Workers work 14-16 hours a day, 7 days a week and earn only a minimum wage of 1/2 to 1/5 of a living wage. The living wage is the bare minimum a family needs to fulfill its basic needs.
This needs to change.
So how do we implement these necessary changes?

Organic cotton
We use 100% organic fabrics from Turkey, known for its high quality and soft cotton. These fabrics have a GOTS certification which implies that up to 91% less water and up to 62% less energy is used during the production process and that no environmentally harmful chemicals are used.
LOCALLY PRODUCED
We have chosen to produce locally in the Netherlands for great flexibility, high involvement in the production process and to ensure that the tailors earn a fair Dutch wage and work under good conditions.
Our garments are made in a small workplace in Groningen by experienced tailors with a refugee background who started a new life in the Netherlands.

Safe printing
All our garments are screen printed with ink that has an eco passport. After printing, the screen printing frames are cleaned with eco-friendly cleaning products, the waste water is drained and ink residuals and cleaning cloths are carefully disposed.
SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING
We minimize the amount of plastics in our entire chain and ship our packages by using environmentally friendly products. For instance, our shipping boxes are FSC certified and are sealed with paper tape.

CARBON NEUTRAL SHIPPING
We neutralize the CO2 emission of every delivery. We calculate the weight of the package, the distance it travels and the transport vehicle it travels with, which results in the CO2 emission of the specific shipment.
Every order's CO2 emission is compensated by making a donation to the Jarí Para Forest Conservation Project that preserves Brazilian amazon forest.
